In this season, the primary focus is on the main character, Aang, learning how to bend water. The original Extras special focused on the first season, or book, of Avatar. The pop-up messages either displayed facts about the locations in the episode or terminology mentioned by characters, or provided humorous remarks about what happened in the episodes. The television series Avatar: The Last Airbender was followed by an event called Avatar Extras, where selected episodes included various text pop-ups that provided commentary on the events in the episodes. Nevertheless, the Extras for Book 1: Water have expanded topics in the show for curious fans.
